I hope everyone had a great Christmas this year! I’m back with a cocktail for your New Years Eve festivities in a few days! If you’re like me, your New Years Eve is pretty laid back but you still enjoy sipping on champagne while waiting for the ball to drop. Maybe you’re hosting or attending a small party this year to celebrate with friends and family. Either way, here is a quick and simple cocktail to help you ring in the new year!

As we know, champagne is the go to spirit for New Years Eve but I wanted to add a botanical touch to it. If you are wanting to add botanical flavors to a drink, gin is always a great choice. Put plainly, gin is just vodka infused with juniper, coriander, citrus peel, and a few other ingredients. Hendrick’s Gin is my favorite, especially for this drink. Hendricks is infused with cucumber and rose petals giving it a really unique flavor and is the perfect paring for the rose and elderflower lemonade I found at Home Goods!

This cocktail is great for any kind of party you are hosting! You want a drink that will impress but don’t want to spend the entire time in the kitchen, whipping up drinks. All you need is either champagne flutes or couple glasses. Add in the gin, lemonade, and champagne and you’re all done. I use a drink stirrer to give to drink a quick stir but thats it! I think champagne is beautiful and bubbly on it’s own so I don’t add a garnish which saves you even more time in the kitchen!

There are a few variations to this drink you can make so you can please nearly everyone! If you don’t like gin, simply take out the gin and add a little more rose lemonade. Not drinking? Remove the spirits and have equal parts rose lemonade and sparkling grape juice! Prefer Prosecco over champagne? Simple switch the two! I hope you enjoy this simple and festive drink! Happy New Years!
Rose 75
1oz – Hendrick’s Gin
2-3oz – Rose & Elderflower Lemonade
3-4oz – Brut Champagne or Prosecco
In a 8oz couple glass, combine gin, lemonade, and champagne! If using a smaller glass, I suggest using 1oz gin, 2oz lemonade, and 3oz champagne. Enjoy responsibly!

This sounds delicious! I love champagne and the twist of flavor is interesting. Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year!
