Dairy Free Eggnog Cocktail | Holiday Cocktails

My husband is one of those people who doesn’t even want to hear the word ‘Christmas’ until December. To keep the peace, I do not decorate or even listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving but as soon as Black Friday arrives, it’s time to go all out. Even though my husband loves to roll his eyes at me as I decorate, he happily welcomes the Christmas season because it means he can finally enjoy his eggnog.

My husband LOVES his eggnog and he is also very picky about his eggnog. Even though he’ll try different brands, the Kroger brand eggnog will always be his favorite. However, not too long ago, he brought home something different which left me pleasantly surprised.

Neither one of us are diary free and he is not a huge fan of coconut so I was surprised when he brought home So Delicious’ Dairy Free Coconut Milk Holiday Nog. To both of our delight, this dairy free alternative was delicious! It has just the right amount of coconut flavor and the perfect creamy texture you expect from eggnog. I knew this coconut holiday nog would make a great Christmas cocktail.

It doesn’t matter if it’s dairy free or not, bourbon is eggnog’s best friend so thats my spirit of choice for this drink! I also wanted to add a touch of chocolate to this cocktail without making it overly creamy or decadent so I went with Aztec Chocolate Bitters to elevate this drink. We stir everything together and top it off with some classic nutmeg! This eggnog cocktail is perfect for the holiday season when you’re cuddled up on the couch watching Elf and Christmas Vacation for the millionth time! Happy Holidays!
